Maths Paper Two 2015

Posted Jun 9, 09:16 pm

Here is what I think of Paper Two (Higher Level, LC):

Question 1:
A run-of-the-mill two die question. Not very interesting. This is a good one to get the ball rolling.

Question 2:
As predicted by some, a Hypothesis test.

Question 3:
A co-ordinate geometry question, a little tricky but not too too bad.

Question 4:
A regular circle question, with a very easy opening part.

Question 5:
Standard Proof question, with a not too difficult trig equation.

Question 6:
A fair enough construction question, nothing out of the ordinary.

Question 7:
Interesting question but it looks a little tricky.

Question 8:
Probability Tree question, not too bad to start with, gets very interesting towards the end, bringing different area of Mathematics together.

Question 9:
This should keep the Applied Maths Students very happy!!! A standard sine, cosine rule problem with some applied maths thrown in for good measures.
